Are Foreclosures Increasing?

The number of foreclosures and short sales IS increasing. However, look at the first chart. The total of all sales that are lender mediated is still only 2.7%. Compared to just a few years ago in 2019 that is very low. Moreover, most of those are condos… not homes.

Condos (orange line) are much more likely to go into foreclosure than homes (blue line).
